Position: Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in Person-centered Medicine for Children and Adolescents

Duties: In this role, you will be responsible for research and teaching at our faculty in the field of person-centered medicine for children and adolescents. Main areas of interest include the exploration and use of routine data for person-centered care research in childhood and adolescence, clinical questions informed by practice at the Children's Hospital Lucerne and associated institutions, and the promotion and implementation of retrospective, real-time, and predictive analyses in pediatric care. The development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical decision support systems for evidence-based and data-driven pediatric care as well as digital upskilling of staff are also within your responsibilities. We expect you to develop an independent, long-term oriented and sustainable research agenda with innovative topic areas
Requirements: The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in medicine and a specialist title in pediatrics or pediatric surgery. Scientific achievements on an international level include research projects in the analysis of routine data, sensor technology, and clinical decision support systems and are characterized by a broad and well-founded methodological competence, relevant scientific publications and third-party funding. Knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system and the pediatric care landscape is an advantage. In addition, we expect you to be actively involved in educating and promoting young scientists at our faculty
