Text: Funded PhD Studentships in Economics and Finance The Department of Economics and Finance at Brunel University London is offering two fully funded PhD studentships to start in the academic year of 2022/2023. The studentship is for 3 years (36 months) starting on 1 st January 2023 or 1 st April 2023. College / Directorate College of Business Arts & Social Sciences Department Department of Economics & Finance Posted Date 07/11/2022 Closing Date 05/12/2022 Ref No 3475 College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences Funded PhD Studentships in Economics and Finance The Department of Economics and Finance at Brunel University London is offering two fully funded PhD studentships to start in the academic year of 2022/2023. The studentship is for 3 years (36 months) starting on 1st January 2023 or 1st April 2023. Three years funding is subject to satisfactory progress. The successful applicant will receive an annual stipend of £19668 (including London weighting), plus payment of tuition fees at the home/EU rate. The studentship is open to all UK, EU and International applicants. While the stipend will be at home/EU rate, a full fee waiver for one of the studentships at the international rate may be considered for exceptional international applicants. Those awarded the studentship will also assume the role of General Teaching Assistant (GTA) and be required to assist in the Department’s teaching up to 180 hours a year in the following subject areas: Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Banking, Accountancy, Quantitative Methods. The successful applicant will be associated with one of the Department’s leading research groups and conduct research in their respective areas. Eligibility The studentship is awarded based on outstanding academic merit. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree (first or upper second class) in a relevant subject. A Master’s degree in a relevant subject is an advantage but not essential, preferably at distinction level or equivalent.
