Position: Research Associate (Postdoc) in Machine Learning for Communications Systems
Institution: University of Luxembourg
Location: Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
Duties: Analyzing and investigating novel scenarios and use cases where the application of Machine Learning can bring some benefit; Developing novel ML-based solutions able to provide a good performance-complexity trade-off for the identified scenarios and use cases; Compare with conventional non-ML solutions and verify the benefits provided by ML in terms of trade-off between complexity and performance; Implementing and developing a software and/or hardware testing environment to compare and evaluate the proposed techniques
Requirements: A PhD degree in Telecommunication Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/engineering with a focus on wireless communications; Experience with machine learning is mandatory; Experience with ML frameworks (Tensorflow, Keras, or similar); Experience with a number of optimization tools (alternatives to ML); Good understanding of the different ML architectures and suitability depending on the considered scenario; Background on Satellite Communications is a plus
