The Department of Engineering (DES) embedded in the Faculty of Sciences, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) is an interdisciplinary group conducting research in the classical domains of civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering and is the centre of technological expertise for industrial partners in Luxembourg. This research team is led by Prof. Stephan Leyer. It is composed of twelve PhD students and two postdoctoral researchers, forming team active in research areas of multi-phase flow, porous media, combustion, heat and mass transfer, power generation and renewable energy. The team Applied Thermodynamics is looking for an experimental fluid dynamic expert to support the design and operation of fluid dynamic test facilities and advanced instrumentation in the areas of heat and mass flow sensing. Experience with validation of Computational Fluid Dynamics modelling is desired. The future candidate is expected to bring in own ideas for research topics and technical solutions. Your Role...
