Position: Adjunct Professor - Mathematics
Institution: Oklahoma Wesleyan University
Location: Bartlesville, Oklahoma, United States
Duties: Candidates should have a strong commitment to excellent teaching in a liberal arts setting and an eagerness to work with undergraduate students. The typical teaching load is twelve credit hours per semester covering a wide range of undergraduate mathematics courses. Candidates should be able to teach entry-level mathematics courses for general-education students and upper-level courses to prepare mathematics majors for industry, graduate school, or K-12 education. The successful candidate will also serve as the academic advisor to undergraduates majoring in mathematics or mathematics education. Teaching experience in the contexts of evangelical and liberal arts traditions is preferred, and candidates who have some degree of theological education in an evangelical context will be given priority
Requirements: The ideal candidate will hold an earned doctorate in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related discipline. Candidates who are ABD will be considered. A personal and vital Christian faith is required. A connection to the Wesleyan Church or one of the many denominations comprising the historic Wesleyan-Armenian tradition is preferred
