Position: Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Mathematics, Statistics and Insurance
Institution: Hang Seng Management College
Location: Siu Lek Yuen, Sha Tin, Hong Kong
Duties: teach statistics-related modules including but not limited to “Predictive Analytics”, “Computing for Statistical Analysis”, “Machine Learning”, “Data Mining”, and “Statistical Inference”; liaise with the industry and organize professional talks/events on the latest development, applications, and job prospects on predictive analysis and machine learning to undergraduate students; publish in the leading peer-reviewed journals in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related areas; and; engage in research, scholarly and administration activities
Requirements: possess a PhD degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics or related disciplines, with high proficiency in R, Python, or other prevailing programming languages in predictive analytics, machine learning and data mining; have an excellent research record and published in the leading peer-reviewed journals in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related areas; and; have substantial teaching experience at the tertiary level, preferably in predictive analytics, machine learning, data mining, statistical inference, or other related modules
