Position: Head of Assay Bioinformatics, Molecular Lab Applications - Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS)

Duties: Build and manage the Assay Bioinformatics, Molecular Lab Applications team, setting bioinformatics scientific strategy for multiple assay development efforts across PCR, dPCR, microarray, and Next Generation Sequencing; Oversee data analysis and integration of dry lab components for all stages of assay development from early development to support of on-market products; Act as lead Bioinformatics subject matter expert on assay development teams; Develop and maintain internal algorithms and tools used to support assay development; Form strong working relationships with partner functions to shape and execute on short and long term assay development goals
Requirements: 10 years relevant experience including 6+ years experience in a supervisory role particularly interdisciplinary bioinformatics teams; Proven track record of developing products that combine genomics, next generation sequencing, molecular biology, statistics, and bioinformatic algorithms; Strong data analysis skills using R, Python, or other modern data analysis language
