Duties: Population Data Science is a growing multi-disciplinary field, which focuses on collections of people, and the biological, economic, social, and environmental experiences that shape their lives, their health and their wellbeing. The Population Data Science group, formerly known as the Health Informatics group at Swansea University Medical School, is at the forefront of the increasingly important field of Population Data Science; the science of data about people and hosts 12 research centres of excellence and the world-renowned SAIL Databank. Population Data Science is a growing and multi-disciplinary field, which focuses on collections of people, and the biological, economic, social, and environment experiences that shape their lives, their health, and their wellbeing
Requirements: The role holder will be a skilled Data Scientist and will have developed skills and abilities in a range of linked data toolsets and methodologies; The applicant will have a keen interest in transferring their data science knowledge to students, academics, and government researchers; The role holder will have the opportunity to shape and inform the data science training and capacity building agenda across the UK; The role holder will be research dynamic in data science and has the ability to apply for exciting new grant opportunities
