Additional Posting Details Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in related field and five years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department. • Considerable knowledge of principles of computing and/or communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in distributed environments. • Ability to supervise and train subordinates. • Ability to operate computer keyboards and to install computer hardware. • Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information. Preferred Qualifications While not required, these are useful skills to have, in priority order: - Windows Desktop Infrastructure management - ECM ( SCCM ) Infrastructure - Understanding of OS deployment processes - Powershell - Process Automation - Active Directory User/Computer Account Management - Project management experience, including RACI and Service Life-cycle concepts - Ability and experience in overseeing and developing technical and project management skills in subordinates - Experience in higher education IT service delivery Required License / Registration / Certification Work Schedule M-F 8-5, flexibility available Partial remote work options available Driving University Vehicle No Security Sensitive This is a security sensitive position. Classification Title Senior System Administrator Physical Requirements Ability to communicate, Lifting up to 10 pounds, Writing, Talk or Hear Job Duties o Coordinates with the AT Infrastructure Manager and team members to ensure Desktop team works efficiently and effectively. o AT Infrastructure Windows Endpoint environment met constituent needs and helped drive future capabilities, while minimizing negative impact. o Creates and implements data-driven strategies for AT Infrastructure Windows Endpoints that further university, college, and departmental goals and objectives. o Works effectively with all (AT IT, University, System, Off Campus, etc.) resources and groups to make sure Windows Endpoints effectively and efficiently meet new requirements and challenges. o AT Infrastructure Windows Endpoint environment was suitably monitored and maintained to ensure institutional data and processes were safeguarded and appropriately available. o Ensures all internal and external AT Infrastructure Windows Endpoint related documentation is created, reviewed, and updated as appropriate. o Trained and/or mentored AT Infrastructure and Service Desk staff to maximize their skills, including cross training for organization continuity.
