Position: Postdoctoral Researcher; Prediction modelling for repeat self-harm in prisoners

Duties: You will use data from a retrospective cohort of prisoners to derive a prediction model to identify those at high risk. This is likely to encompass a range of regression modelling methodologies for risk prediction, possibly including validation methods, techniques to deal with missing data, and dynamic modelling. You will also have the opportunity to work on other ongoing risk prediction modelling and validation studies within the OxRisk programme
Requirements: You will have, or be close to the completion of, a PhD/DPhil in epidemiology/biostatistics or a related subject. You will be familiar with statistical modelling methods such as logistic and Cox regression, and have experience of statistical programming using software such as R or Stata. Experience of working with data relating to psychiatry or a related clinical discipline would be desirable
   
Text: Postdoctoral Researcher; Prediction modelling for repeat self-harm in prisoners Department of Psychiatry, Warneford Hospital, Oxford OX3 7JX Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher with biostatistical expertise to work the Risk Assessment for Prisoners at risk of Self-harm and Suicide (RAPSS) study and other risk prediction modelling studies relating to forensic psychiatry led by Professor Seena Fazel. The post is full-time and you will be based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital in Headington, Oxford. The post is fixed-term (until 31 July 2023). You will use data from a retrospective cohort of prisoners to derive a prediction model to identify those at high risk. This is likely to encompass a range of regression modelling methodologies for risk prediction, possibly including validation methods, techniques to deal with missing data, and dynamic modelling. You will also have the opportunity to work on other ongoing risk prediction modelling and validation studies within the OxRisk programme ( https://oxrisk.com/ ). You will have, or be close to the completion of, a PhD/DPhil in epidemiology/biostatistics or a related subject.
