Multidisciplinary approaches including clinical neuroimaging and basic biomedical bench techniques will be used in human subjects and animal models, respectively. Qualification: The applicant will be working in a collaborative environment of a strong research environment on campus and will have opportunities to work on wide-spectrum basic and translational pain and neuroimaging research projects using biomedical (e.g. fluorescence imaging, molecular biology, cell culture, immunohistochemical assays, circuit manipulations, mouse surgery or behavioral assays) and electrophysiological recording (in vivo extracellular recordings and patch clamp recordings in brain slices or dissociated neurons) in rodent models, as well as neuroimaging techniques (fMRI, EEG , simultaneous EEG - MRI , simultaneous PET - MRI ) in human subjects.
