Duties: Provide timely, efficient and professional delivery of services to clients; Support senior members of the team with client relationship management; Understand and comply with the General Insurance practice’s risk management processes and procedures; Assist in the development and implementation of our marketing plan and develop your own personal profile in the market; Assist in the delivery of presentations and thought leadership in collaboration with other members of the team; Keep up to date with Milliman’s global insights and latest developments in the general insurance environment; Maintain high standards of technical knowledge and understanding of risk and actuarial issues; Provide assistance as and when needed to other team members
Requirements: Strong experience in non-life insurance; Making good progress with the actuarial exams; Knowledge of the UK non-life insurance market; Previous exposure to capital modelling and/or reserving; Proven track record of handling large and complex data, including database management software e.g. SQL and Access; Experience of working with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

The Milliman London General Insurance practice provides consulting expertise to a variety of clients including insurance and reinsurance companies, Lloyd’s syndicates, ILS fund managers, public sector bodies and other businesses. Our unique blend of sound actuarial technical knowledge, extensive research experience and front-line actuarial products and tools make us a leader in general insurance consulting. The London practice regularly collaborates on cross-border projects with Milliman offices globally. We advise on a range of insurance-related issues including reserving, capital modelling, pricing, risk management, and mergers & acquisitions. You will be providing high quality consulting and technical services to our clients, through successful collaboration with team members on multiple and diverse projects, as well as taking an active and effective part in the development of our business. Requirements Experience and knowledge: Essential: Strong experience in non-life insurance; Making good progress with the actuarial exams; Knowledge of the UK non-life insurance market; Previous exposure to capital modelling and/or reserving; Proven track record of handling large and complex data, including database management software e.g. SQL and Access; Experience of working with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Desirable Lloyd’s or other London Market experience; Actuarial and/or data visualisation software experience (e.g. ResQ, Remetrica, Tyche, Igloo, @Risk, Tableau, Power BI); Experience working with programming languages (e.g R, Python) Predictive analytics and data science experience. Skills: Essential Strong numerical, technical, analytical and actuarial skills; Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team; Outstanding time management, project management and organisational skills with good attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines; Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues to a non-technical audience; Ability to build good relationships with stakeholders at all levels and to manage expectations.
