Department Physics FLSA: Exempt Position Qualifications: PhD in Physics with any specialization from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Preferred Qualifications PhD in Physics, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. Candidates should possess the following: • good communication skills, • have recent teaching experience, • knowledge of high impact practices and evidence-based teaching, • interest in teaching lower-division introductory physics courses. A strong commitment to teaching with demonstrated ability and enthusiasm in innovative methods of teaching labs and courses is required. A criminal background screening is required for all positions. Physical Demands: Physical Requirements: No unusual physical requirement. Requires no heavy lifting and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility.
