We use unique mouse models, genetic and genomic tools, spatial transcriptomics and cell biology to reveal mechanisms underlying pulmonary TB progression and to develop therapies against the inflammatory tissue damage
Requirements: Scientists with experience in cellular immunology, macrophage biology, animal models, and imaging are invited to apply. Prior experience working with pathogenic microorganisms is encouraged, but not required
   
Text: Postdoctoral Position for Immunity to TB Research, NEIDL Tracking Code 22500029040516 Job Description Postdoctoral position is currently open in the Kramnik lab at the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory (NEIDL) at Boston University to study mechanisms of lung immunity and immunopathology during infection with virulent Mycobacterium tuberculosis. We use unique mouse models, genetic and genomic tools, spatial transcriptomics and cell biology to reveal mechanisms underlying pulmonary TB progression and to develop therapies against the inflammatory tissue damage. This research project is funded by NIH for at least three years. Scientists with experience in cellular immunology, macrophage biology, animal models, and imaging are invited to apply. Prior experience working with pathogenic microorganisms is encouraged, but not required. Boston University offers a competitive salary and benefits package, and an excellent work environment. Starting postdoc salary is $55,000 plus generous health insurance benefits. More senior applicants will be considered at the level commensurate with their experience.
