Carry out computational and bioinformatics analysis for transcriptomics, next generation sequencing, and genome-wide association studies; Communicate scientific information in the form of laboratory notebooks, oral presentations, text, figures, and scientific manuscripts; Perform routine duties related to the research study, such as data curation and making backups; Ensure optimal progress of participating research projects; Provide guidance to interns; Maintain safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety procedures and laboratory practice agreements; Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field, with relevant training and experience; Familiar and experience with handling and manipulation of large, multi-dimensional data sets; Fluent in the use of the R statistical analysis software; Prior experience with analysing next generation sequencing data (i.e. RNAseq, Chipseq, single cell sequencing etc) and with one or more additional applications (i.e. Perl, SAS, Matlab, Python) preferred; A strong team player who is open-minded, energetic, highly motivated and can work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team and diverse workforce
