Position: Postdoctoral Researcher in Machine Learning

Duties: You will apply and develop cutting-edge machine learning methods to integrate and analyse multi-omic data in conjunction with histological images to identify morpho-molecular signatures that can be used to determine the progress and severity of these diseases. This will involve utilisation of both shallow and deep learning methodologies to fully integrate and analyse the data. Your role will involve working closely with collaborators at Novo Nordisk who will provide domain expertise and feedback throughout the duration of this project
Requirements: It is essential that you hold a PhD/DPhil (or close to completion) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or related disciplines. You will have expertise in machine learning and experience in working with sequencing data. It will be required that you have the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. You must possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established research programmes. Highly developed problem solving and reasoning skills and the ability to manage own academic research and associated activities is essential. You will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research group at meetings
   
Text: Postdoctoral Researcher in Machine Learning Big Data Institute, Li Ka Shing Centre for Health Information and Discovery, Old Road Campus, Oxford, OX3 7LF We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher in Machine Learning to join a collaborative project between Novo Nordisk and the University of Oxford. You will be based in the Big Data Institute working within the groups of Professor Jens Rittscher and Dr Dan Woodcock.
