Duties: We have an opportunity to appoint a talented and ambitious investigator to join the Research Group of Prof Andrew Morris, to work on an exciting project funded by the Medical Research Council entitled: “Novel statistical methods for transcriptomic imputation into genome-wide association studies to enhance understanding of causal mechanisms underlying common human diseases”. ​​​​​​​
Requirements: You will have a strong background in bioinformatics and/or computational biology, with a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, and will have experience in the analysis of large-scale RNAseq data and exemplary computational skills in a linux environment

You will join an inter-disciplinary team of clinicians and basic scientists with diverse expertise in genetics, functional genomics, statistics, and epidemiology at the Centre for Genetics and Genomics Versus Arthritis at the University of Manchester (http://www.cfgg.manchester.ac.uk/). You will have a strong background in bioinformatics and/or computational biology, with a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, and will have experience in the analysis of large-scale RNAseq data and exemplary computational skills in a linux environment.
