Requirements: Our ideal candidate has a strong experience (postdoctoral level) in bioinformatics, statistics, and biomedical sciences, with a specific interest in oncology and immunology. Advanced fluency in working with *omics data and Python and/or R are required. Expertise in computational proteomics and metabolomics is preferred for this position. Previous work involving the integration of complex data sets and familiarity with state-of-the-art machine learning frameworks will also be an asset. We expect our candidate to be flexible, proactive, and capable of following several projects in parallel
   
Text: Computational Biologist for Biomedicine (100%) The University of Basel is a world leader in biomedical sciences, with many close collaborations between basic research and clinical application. We are recruiting a computational biologist to complement ongoing research in this domain. The research groups of Professor Markus Heim and Professor Christoph Hess at the Department of Biomedicine employ extensive molecular profiling in basic research of cancer and immunobiology. We invite applications for a computational biologist (100%) to support quantitative research in these two research groups. The position will be embedded in the Hall and Hess labs, and hosted by sciCORE - the center for scientific computing at the University of Basel.
