Position: Bioinformatician/Data Scientist (Product Engineering)

Duties: Characterize product health and develop key metrics to drive efficiency and robustness improvements in manufacturing; Drive advanced analytics for process and subsequent product improvement and customer experience; Collaborate with Development, Process Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other departments as needed to address issues with manufacturing yield and quality; Develop and implement new processes and tools to provide product manufacturing data to the company
Requirements: Extremely good data analysis skills and a logical approach to problem solving; Ability to understand data in whatever format it’s presented, and effectively use it to communicate a story and drive action; Strong programming skills (SQL, R (dplyr, dbplyr, tidyverse) preferred), Python and statistical knowledge (DOEs, statistical analysis, t-tests, ANOVA, sample size calculation etc.); Experienced in visualization tools e.g. Tableau, R ggplot2 package, shiny or Dash; Expert user of Excel, proficient in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint; Familiarity with Statistical Process Control and DOE techniques

The Product Engineer will partner with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Support and R&D to sustain and improve delivered products, ensuring our customers are getting the best consumables on the market. Responsibilities: Characterize product health and develop key metrics to drive efficiency and robustness improvements in manufacturing Drive advanced analytics for process and subsequent product improvement and customer experience Collaborate with Development, Process Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other departments as needed to address issues with manufacturing yield and quality Develop and implement new processes and tools to provide product manufacturing data to the company Provide leadership and expertise as the internal SME for product manufacture and serve as the point of contact for manufacturing and product health issues Provide technical input on information system architecture Assist in defining technical requirements for new products All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.
