Job Description: The Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies at Fairfield University invites applications for a tenure-track Faculty/Program Director position in public health to start in fall 2022. New this year, the online Master of Public Health (MPH) program aims to prepare students to address health inequity through graduating “change agents” who can lead and advocate for improved health conditions worldwide. The teaching load is 9 credits (3 courses and/or equivalent) each semester. The Director of the MPH program is responsible for creating a shared multi-year programmatic vision in coordination with key stakeholders and for planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating the public health curriculum. The Program Director will possess overall, year-round responsibility for the MPH program and will have release time and/or a stipend commensurate with responsibilities of the program. The Program Director will report directly to the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies to ensure that organizational policies related to faculty roles and workload are applied to the program in a manner that recognizes and supports the academic and practice aspects of the program. The Program Director responsibilities must include, but are not limited to: Provision or delegation of responsibilities to assure year-round coverage of director responsibilities. Identification and management of all applied practice sites. Regular communication with preceptors to review program expectations, evaluate site resources, and collaborate on student performance evaluation. Provision of annual review of program outcomes, including student enrollment and recruitment, completed or anticipated revisions to courses or curriculum plan, practice site experiences, and anticipated needs of students, faculty, and staff. Analysis of program data, dissemination to institutional representatives, and incorporation of data into school planning. Service as chair of program curriculum committee, as appropriate. Maintenance of program accreditation requirements. Requirements: All applicants must: 1. Hold a doctoral degree in public health. 2.
