Duties: In an open exchange with Chemical Biology and Mass Spectrometry groups, you will perform statistical analyses of high throughput proteomics data to drive knowledge gain for our clients; You will develop new tools to tackle new challenges; In close collaboration within interdisciplinary teams in exciting projects, you will tackle scientific questions at the forefront of drug discovery; You will be involved in communicating complex bioinformatics methods and results to your colleagues from diverse backgrounds as well as to clients; You will be equipped with established in-house developed analysis workflows, which you will be able to apply and develop further to help discover the next generation of drugs; You will join a team of life scientists to advice on bioinformatics topics ranging from experimental design and methodology, to multi-omics data integration
Requirements: Master’s or PhD degree in (Applied) Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biology, or a related discipline; Strong Programming skills in scripted languages, particularly R, Python, Matlab, or similar are required; Experience with the analysis of proteomics or other omics data is essential; Expertise in the use of classical statistical inference methods and modern concepts, such as Bayesian statistics and machine learning is an advantage; Working experience in industry or biological context, and the ability to analyze proteomics and/or transcriptomics data is most welcome
