The successful candidate will be fluent in the use of bioinformatics and statistical algorithms and software to transform and analyze single-cell genomics data in a rapidly evolving scientific discipline, providing an integrated analysis of multi-modal RNA, DNA, TCR/BCR, and protein information. The advent of spatial genomics profiling from frozen and fixed tissues in another area of highly active research. In addition to conducting focused studies, they will exploit the Abiosciences Omni single cell database, the world's largest collection of curated single-cell genomics studies, as well as their own biological knowledge, to put study analysis results in context with the established literature. The knowledge gained in these studies will be used to identify Client therapeutic interventions, deeply characterize mechanism of action of small-molecule and biologic therapeutic agents, and conduct predictive biomarker research to identify patient populations that could benefit from intervention. Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, statistics, natural sciences, biotechnology, or equivalent degree/experience as well as a solid record of publication in the scientific literature are required for this role. Additional experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries is valuable. Fluency with statistical programming environments is essential (R/Seurat, Python), as is the ability to work efficiently in high-performance computing environments (Linux HPC/cloud resources). Strong written and oral English communication skills are essential, and the candidate should have a proven record of successful collaboration across research groups. The successful candidate will have expertise in the design, analysis, and interpretation of large and complex genomic studies. They should be comfortable working within reproducible research paradigms to ensure that their efforts can be robustly communicated to and reproduced by our scientific teams and collaborators. Expertise around single-cell analytical processing pipelines, and the ability to create innovative enhancements to them, is highly advantageous. Domain knowledge in oncology and immunology is highly valuable, as would be familiarity with analytical methods adjacent to genomics (flow cytometry, clinical diagnostics, molecular biology). Fluency in written and spoken Chinese/Mandarin is a plus. Some cool perks: • An opportunity to work with a highly collaborative, and entrepreneurial company with great coworkers who enjoy having fun and working hard. • Competitive salaries and quarterly bonuses for full-time employees. • Equity consideration for all full-time employees. • Comprehensive health insurance. • Paid time off, sick time, and company holidays, in addition to paid parental leave, bereavement leave, and jury duty leave for full-time employees. • Employer-matching 401K plan. • New and bright laboratories. • Monthly company lunches, fully stocked kitchen with drinks, coffee, healthy snacks. • Choice of MacBook or Windows laptop.
