Assistant/Associate Professor, School of Nursing & Health Sciences With a focus on baccalaureate nursing education, the faculty member will contribute to the mission, vision, and core values of the Holy Family University and the School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. This full-time position includes teaching in accordance to best practices, advising students to guide and retain them at HFU, maintaining an active program of clinical scholarship/research to contribute to nursing science and to the translation of research evidence into practice, maintaining own nursing practice to stay current and to build community partnerships, participating on college and university committees, and engaging in service to the community. Employees must understand the mission of Catholic higher education and be committed to the core values, mission, goals and objectives of Holy Family University. Responsibilities (not all inclusive): Participates in the development and evaluation of the BSN program. Develops, teaches, and evaluates assigned courses. Integrates simulation activities and technology into teaching assignments where indicated. Participates in the development and implementation of school policies. Assumes responsibility for serving as course coordinator as appropriate. Actively participates in nursing councils and standing or ad hoc task forces and committees. Serves as faculty advisor to BSN students. Actively formulates and implements a plan of teaching, scholarship, and service. Demonstrates a commitment to continuing education and professional development. Actively participates in school and university affairs, community activities, and professional organizations. Participates in the implementation of university objectives and policies. Promotes public relations with community institutions. Fulfills all other responsibilities as described in the University Handbook. Teaches a minimum of 24 credits/year. Remains current in nursing practice specific to area of specialty. Other duties as assigned. Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology - Director of the Art Therapy Program The School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology with a start date of August 2022. This faculty member will be responsible for teaching courses in counseling psychology as well as more advanced courses in the Art Therapy Program. All employees must understand the mission of Catholic higher education and be committed to the core values, mission, goals and objectives of Holy Family University. Responsibilities (not all inclusive): Assume the Directorship of the Art Therapy Program Leadership in the ongoing CAAHEP/ACATE accreditation of the Art Therapy Program Teaching in our Art Therapy program. Supervision and advising of Art Therapy students. Qualifications: Candidates may possess a masters in Art Therapy or a doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Art Therapy, Creative Arts Therapies, Counseling Psychology or a related field. Candidates must also be a professionally credentialed art therapist: Registered and Board-Certified Art Therapists (ATR-BC), ideally with licensure in a mental health related field (e.g. LPC). Qualifications: The successful applicant must hold an earned academic degree (completed Master’s or Doctoral degree) in nursing or related field appropriate for the contracted teaching responsibilities. Applicants who have not yet completed their master’s or doctoral degrees will not be considered. Lab instructors must have a working knowledge of dimensional analysis.
