The subject Applied Mathematics includes mathematics, mathematical statistics and computational mathematics and is placed at the Department of Engineering Sciences and Mathematics. The subject currently consists of 14 employed teachers and researchers and is extensively involved in teaching at both undergraduate and advanced level. Our research and postgraduate education are conducted mainly within mathematical analysis with focus on the areas of partial differential equations and functional analysis, with applications to e.g. tribology, fluid mechanics, composite mechanics and construction technology. Research also takes place in the field of mathematical statistics. We are now in need of additional employees to assist with the education and research we conduct in mathematical analysis. Therefore, we want to recruit a senior university lecturer specialized in mathematical analysis. Subject description Applied Mathematics includes mathematical analysis, computational mathematics, and probability theory and statistics. The research is mainly related to mathematical problems arising in the interfaces between mathematics and engineering sciences. Duties As a senior lecturer at Applied Mathematics, your main duties consist of teaching and research.
