Duties: The Mathematical Sciences Department at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Statistics at the rank of Assistant Professor to start on September 1, 2022. Higher ranks may be considered for a well-qualify candidates; however, preference will be given to Assistant professor rank. Candidates from all fields of statistics are invited to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to publish in scholarly journals, initiate and participate in funded research programs and contribute to the teaching mission of the department. The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees as well as an interdisciplinary Computational Mathematics Doctorate degree with the Computer Science department. The department has a diverse group of faculty members applying mathematical and statistical methods to research problems in computer science, engineering, economics and public health.
