Duties: Working under the Valuation and PAR management team with the Actuarial Department, the incumbent will be a key member supporting the Team Leads on managing and overseeing actuarial valuation and related financial reporting. He/She will also be responsible for supporting the transition of IFRS17 requirements into Business-as-Usual (‘BAU’), plus providing support on Participating business (PAR) management as required
Requirements: Degree in Actuarial Science or any related disciplines; Qualified actuary - FSA, FCIA, FIA, FIAA or equivalent; 7 years of experience in actuarial operation within a life insurance organization. Candidates with less experience would be considered as Assistant Actuarial Manager

Job Description: Working under the Valuation and PAR management team with the Actuarial Department, the incumbent will be a key member supporting the Team Leads on managing and overseeing actuarial valuation and related financial reporting. He/She will also be responsible for supporting the transition of IFRS17 requirements into Business-as-Usual (‘BAU’), plus providing support on Participating business (PAR) management as required. Responsibilities Actuarial Valuation: Timely and accurate actuarial reporting related to Canadian GAAP and LICAT (including CALM) in accordance with standard of practice and in compliance with various internal guidelines IFRS17 transition to BAU: Support the Team Lead to ensure a smooth go-live for IFRS17 requirements and operationalize this in the normal BAU process. Experience Studies: Assist the Team Lead to oversee and manage the progress of experience studies, and other actuarial processes in respect of method & assumption changes. PAR management: Where capacity allows, support the PAR Team Lead to perform and manage PAR management activities, including bonus declaration, asset share calculation, etc to ensure policyholders’ reasonable expectations (PRE) are met. Quality assurance & governance: Assist in ongoing valuation processes in respect of enhancing the efficiency and quality of valuation, control improvement and peer review. Support the Team Lead in liaising with Asia Regional Office and Canada Corporate Actuarial Team on valuation issues, and on external audits. Others: Support new product launches including review of valuation assumptions, set up of valuation model, etc. Qualifications Degree in Actuarial Science or any related disciplines Qualified actuary - FSA, FCIA, FIA , FIAA or equivalent 7 years of experience in actuarial operation within a life insurance organization.
