Position: Postdoc in Radioecology and Tracer Studies

Duties: Development of radioanalytical methods relevant for radioecology and tracer studies; Determination of radioactive isotopes by radiometric techniques and mass spectrometry techniques; Application of radioisotopes as tracers to study oceanic processes and the impact on climate change; Combination of oceanic models with radiotracer approach to investigate ocean dynamics; Date processing and programming using various dedicated software; Training and technical support for radiochemical analyses in the research group
Requirements: As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) with professional background in radiochemistry and environmental tracer study using radioisotopes; Experience with radiometric techniques (including alpha, beta, gamma, and LSC) and mass spectrometric techniques (ICP-MS, AMS); Skills in sampling, sample handling and radiochemical analysis; Demonstrated and profound experience with oceanic model simulation, programming, and data handling; Profound experiences in dissemination of research findings as conference presentations and journal publications; Motivated and able to fulfil tasks independently while maintaining a strong team spirt

Apply online Technical University of Denmark, Department of Environmental Engineering (DTU Environment) is looking for a skilled and experienced Postdoc who will work with scientists, students, and technical staff at the department to determine radioactive substances in environmental and biological samples and carry out radiotracer studies in marine research. Responsibilities and qualifications The job will be carried out in the Section of Climate and Monitoring, with the following primary areas of responsibilities: Development of radioanalytical methods relevant for radioecology and tracer studies. Determination of radioactive isotopes by radiometric techniques and mass spectrometry techniques. Application of radioisotopes as tracers to study oceanic processes and the impact on climate change. Combination of oceanic models with radiotracer approach to investigate ocean dynamics. Date processing and programming using various dedicated software.
