Position: Lectureship in Pure Mathematics

Duties: The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (analogous to Assistant Professor) to join its Institute for Pure Mathematics. We are looking for a world-class researcher in pure mathematics, and we especially welcome applicants working in Number Theory, broadly taken. The post-holder will be responsible for their own research programme, undertaking independent research, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, and taking on appropriate administrative duties. Currently, most of the research at the Institute focusses on Algebra, Combinatorics, Geometry, Number Theory, Logic & Set Theory and Topology
Requirements: You have a passion for developing and leading innovative and impactful research in pure mathematics. You have demonstrated the self-motivation, initiative, and organizational skills required carry out a successful research programme. You have a proven publication record in internationally recognized, peer-reviewed scientific journals

The post-holder will be responsible for developing her or his own research programme, carry out appropriate administrative tasks and deliver excellence in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
