Text: THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL Department of Statistics and Operations Research Teaching Assistant Professor, Statistics and Data Science Applications are invited for a full-time fixed-term position at the Teaching Assistant Professor level, beginning July 2022. The Department is looking for individuals with experience in, or strong potential for, teaching Statistics and Data Science at the undergraduate level, and for contributing to the academic program development and pedagogy of the Department. This is a non-tenure track position with an initial contract of three years that is subsequently considered for renewals, with the possibility of eventual promotions to higher ranks (Teaching Associate Professor, Teaching Professor) and longer-term contracts with an intended career trajectory. The primary purpose of this position is to provide instruction for large-enrollment introductory service courses, utilizing appropriate technology enhancements and pedagogy techniques. The successful candidate will teach six undergraduate courses over a two-semester academic year.
