The Institute is offering a POSTDOC POSITION (F*M) in Applied Algebraic Geometry and Kinematics (full-time, 40 hrs per week) for a duration of 12 months. The position will be vacant starting from February 2022. The full-time position within the framework of the FWF-funded project “Trajectories of motions” led by Dr. Niels Lubbes is affiliated with the Symbolic Computation Group at RICAM, located in Linz/Austria. Your profile: • Completed doctorate in mathematics. • Strong background in (computational/applied) algebraic geometry, kinematics and/or rigidity theory. • Experience in mathematical research at an internationally competitive level, in publishing results in internationally refereed journals of high quality, and in giving scientific presentations at international conferences and workshops. • Strong skills of English.
