Position: CCO Cyber Consultancy Lead

Duties: Supporting the CCO CSO teams through the provision of Cyber security SME knowledge; Directing deep dives/risk reviews into Cyber risk and control effectiveness, taking into account Cyber themes/trends, internal and external events; Providing 1LoD support in the assessment of our Cyber Security Framework in accordance with the NIST framework; Influencing CSO to drive and embed a controls culture whereby business stakeholders lead the controls agenda, seeking support and insight from CCO where required; Influencing/supporting the design of CSO control frameworks to sustain and strengthen the control environment, effectively manage risk and meet relevant requirements; Providing input to the design and implementation of CSO Policies, Standards, Controls, Procedures and tools to effectively manage risk
Requirements: Be a Cyber/Control SME with excellent understanding of Cybersecurity principles and the application of Cybersecurity frameworks as defensive measures; Extensive proven experience in Operational Risk and Controls management and frameworks; Experience of leading the design and implementation of controls improvement initiatives; Excellent working knowledge and practical experience of the regulations and standards of relevant industry bodies and organisations

Explore location Cyber Consultancy Lead Knutsford or Glasgow As a Barclays Cyber Consultancy Lead, you will collaborate with the Senior Leadership across Chief Controls Office (CCO) and Chief Security Office (CSO) to embed the CCO operating model and provide 1st line controls management support. You will ensure that risks and controls are understood by senior management, are operating effectively and consistent with defined appetite, as well as comply with Group Policies, applicable laws and regulations. What will you be doing? • Supporting the CCO CSO teams through the provision of Cyber security SME knowledge • Directing deep dives/ risk reviews into Cyber risk and control effectiveness, taking into account Cyber themes/ trends, internal and external events • Providing 1LoD support in the assessment of our Cyber Security Framework in accordance with the NIST framework • Influencing CSO to drive and embed a controls culture whereby business stakeholders lead the controls agenda, seeking support and insight from CCO where required • Influencing/ supporting the design of CSO control frameworks to sustain and strengthen the control environment, effectively manage risk and meet relevant requirements • Providing input to the design and implementation of CSO Policies, Standards, Controls, Procedures and tools to effectively manage risk • Engaging with 2LOD and BIA on Cyber related matters as well as leading the analysis of internal and external risk events • Deputising for the ‘Director, CCO Cyber, Physical & Investigations as required What we’re looking for: • Be a Cyber/ Control SME with excellent understanding of Cybersecurity principles and the application of Cybersecurity frameworks as defensive measures • Extensive proven experience in Operational Risk and Controls management and frameworks • Experience of leading the design and implementation of controls improvement initiatives • Excellent working knowledge and practical experience of the regulations and standards of relevant industry bodies and organisations Skills that will help you in the role: • Experience of working with other CCO teams across the group to share ideas, best practices to ensure consistency of experience across Barclays • A deep understanding of Barclays’ Risk Categories and Risk Themes • Ability to deal with pressure in a calm and focused way, ensuring that priorities are managed and important as well as urgent tasks are delivered Where will you be working?
