Position: Head of Actuary Valuation
Institution: Chubb
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Duties: Lead the valuation team for reporting and filing on Vietnam Statutory, IFRS and USGAAP basis; Take full accountability for the accuracy and timeliness of results and ensure the team’s work comply with regulatory, professional and company standards; Support senior management in business, financial & solvency management, strategic business planning, SOE and financial projections; Lead the team in supporting various valuation related functions, such as experience studies, risk management, etc; Manage and support various projects and initiatives with senior management; Provide advice to other staff within and outside actuarial department, in functions of valuation, system implementation, and financial values related to new/existing products; Recruit and provide training and development to team members
Requirements: University graduate in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics or Finance; Qualified actuary or equivalent; Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in life insurance industry; Good communication skills in spoken and written English; Strong leadership skills and able to engage and develop people through coaching, feedback and stretch assignments; Highly motivated, result-oriented and solution focus; Excellent problem solving, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills; Knowledge of Prophet, AFM or other actuarial software an advantage
