Position: Senior Scientist - Simulations for Heterogeneous Integration (f/m/d)

Duties: In the network of science and industry, SAL offers research in the areas of Sensor Systems, RF Systems, Power Electronics, System Integration Techno­logies and Embedded Systems; SAL - a great place to research; Analytical and numerical modelling, data analysis and programming for the development of advanced packaging technologies for sensors, power electronics and radio-frequency devices; Specific focus is on the multi-domain modelling of Electronics Based Systems, through coupled thermo-mechanical/electro-magnetic FEM simulations and derived Reduced Order Models, where the software used is mostly ANSYS; Material testing and laboratory activities might be required, with the aim of deriving appropriate parameters for simulations; Project Management; Dissemination Activities
Requirements: PhD in physics, mechanical engineering, or closely related field; At least four years of experience in R&D in the research areas of modelling and simulations; Advanced knowledge of mechanics is required; Knowledge of theoretical and numerical foundations of finite element modellings is also a requisite; Knowledge of material science, with special focus on material testing and modelling for simulation purposes; Experience in Reduce Order Modelling and System Simulations is a plus; Experience in project acquisition and customer communication; Fluent English

This position is endowed with a gross annual salary of € 53.382.- based on the collective agreement for research („Forschungs-Kollektivvertrag“) excluding bonus and depending on your experience and skills.
