Position: Master Thesis - Develop printed sensors to monitor conditions inside a refrigerator (f/m/d)

Duties: The master thesis is focused on developing different types of sensors using additive manufacturing techniques, primarily using inkjet and screen printing; Tasks and responsibilities: Develop and establish printing processes for different types of sensors based on resistive, capacitive, and inductive sensing principles; Test various types of materials (i.e., inkjet printing inks and screen-printing pastes) to choose the one with optimal performance; Perform electrical, mechanical, and optical testing of the sensors; Evaluate sensor performance and optimize sensor design (if needed); Documentation and reporting; Support in publication writing
Requirements: Master student in microelectronics, material science, physics, or a similar field; Experience with additive manufacturing techniques (e.g., inkjet and screen printing) is a plus; Experience with ink/paste formulation and/or modification is a plus; Sensor characterization and data processing skills; Motivated, organized, and able to work in a multi-cultural environment; Oral and written communication skills in English and German

This position is endowed with a gross annual salary of € 1.545.- / month , based on the collective agreement for research („Forschungs-Kollektivvertrag“).
