Position: Head of Reserving and Actuarial Reporting
Institution: MS Amlin AG
Location: Zürich, Switzerland
Duties: Leading the actuarial reserving process for MS Amlin AG, including actuarial reporting; Leading the MS Amlin AG Reserving team; Supporting the Chief Actuary in preparation of annual and quarterly presentations to the Board and Management, focussing on adequacy of technical provisions and solvency and underwriting performance of MS Amlin AG; Supporting the implementation of IFRS17; Collaborating with the rest of the Actuarial team and other functions for the parameterisation of the IM; Collaborating with the Finance function on analyses and reporting of the results; Collaborating with other functions, on various topics including business planning and underwriting performance; Preparing ad hoc calculations and reporting for the MS&AD head office; Performing deep dive reserving and performance analyses on special portfolios; Preparing ad hoc analysis/reporting for FINMA and other regulators
Requirements: Educational background in mathematics, natural science or any another quantitative discipline; A strong experience in a similar role within the (re)insurance industry; Numerate and analytical mind-set, good problem solver; strong aptitude for appropriately applying professional judgement; Strong technical and data-handling skills; Excellent verbal and written skills in English; any other language would be an asset
