Duties: Work with Chubb Analytics to design, build and deliver end-to-end data analytics solutions for the risk function; Establish and enforce data quality and governance procedures using established tools and methodologies; Document data flows and data mappings, processing rules between source and existing reports currently produced by the risk function; Validate data processing changes, flag and follow-up issues found, sign-off development work and oversee implementation; Build, test and deploy data analytical tools to assist in risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting thereof; Work with Chubb Business Services India and the Chubb Europe Business Intelligence teams to automate existing key risk reports produced by the function; Develop data analytics solutions for risk insights and analysis and propose recommendations for the use of data and analytics in risk analyses
Requirements: University degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related subject); Experience of working in Risk Management is preferred but not essential, especially in a role with an emphasis on data analytics, or within a BI function with knowledge of risk management processes; Good knowledge of insurance company processes and systems; Up-to-date knowledge of technology and data regulations; Languages - English (Proficient). Basic knowledge of French and/or any other European language is desirable

Chubb’s Risk Management team promote the embedding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) across the region by enhancing risk management activities towards the achievement of Chubb’s regional corporate objectives. The role will be responsible for gathering and analysing data from across the business and the wider industry in order to deliver against specific goals and to provide the necessary insight for risk management including the formulation of data-driven approaches to risk identification, risk analyses, monitoring and risk reporting. The role holder will: Use initiative and imagination to complete data knowledge requirements from a variety of internal and external sources; strive for the highest standards of data quality and governance Continually innovate using the latest technology to improve collection, visualisation and analysis of data Design specific algorithms to enable drill down analysis to assess impacts and identify thematic issues Key relationships other than those within reporting lines include Business Intelligence (BI) teams, Capital Modelling team, Finance, Actuarial function, Compliance function, Internal Audit function and Executive Directors. The Data Analyst will report into the Senior Risk Manager, BU Engagement and is supported by a pool of resources based in London and within Chubb Business Services India (CBSI) based in Bangalore, India. Establish links with other centres of Business Intelligence (BI) within Chubb in order to ensure that best practices are being adhered to. Support strategic & annual business plan analysis - work with relevant managers to perform strategic and annual business plan analysis. Support various risk/capital assessments initiatives, including the performance of deep dives into specific risks, for relevant legal entities and any Internal Model related analysis. Assist with other risk management projects as they arise Working with Chubb Limited ERM team on development of Global Risk Management practices. Individuals who are able to build rapport, challenge and deliver, as well as enjoy a variety of work, whilst utilising their analytical skillsets, will excel within this role. Work closely with various units and business segments within Chubb EMEA in which risks arise for contribution to the required legal entity risk management framework and risk reporting process. Keeping abreast of regulatory and technical developments within field of expertise or any relevant special interests groups. Ensure Risk Management systems are relevant, fit for purposes, properly maintained and supported To work within the framework ethical and service standards of Chubb Limited Qualifications Experience of working in Risk Management is preferred but not essential, especially in a role with an emphasis on data analytics, or within a BI function with knowledge of risk management processes. Basic knowledge of French and/or any other European language is desirable Proven track record in data analysis and problem solving, particularly in relation to large datasets where gaps in knowledge exist Strong analytical and organisational skills; eye for detail and accuracy with thirst for knowledge and ability to seek out new sources of pertinent data Good knowledge and experience in working with technologies such as R, SQL, Power BI, and Excel across semi-structured data sets Coding experience in SQL; knowledge and experience in data manipulation using SQL querying tools in large relational databases is essential. The right candidate will have knowledge of one or more of python, R or Matlab Exposure to one or more visualisation tool such as Tableau, Shiny, QlikView (preferred) or similar. Ability to multi-task and take responsibility for own work and deadlines with demonstrable evidence of good communication skills and capability to build and maintain strong business relationships at varying levels of seniority.
