Duties: The Digital Developer will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of functionality in the Students Union UCL website, a heavily customized instance of the Drupal 8/9 content management system; The Digital Developer will be part of a team of IT staff and full time developers working to the Project Manager, IT to ensure that future developments are planned, specified and launched to the Unions requirements and deadlines
Requirements: The post holder must be able to maintain and develop in a content management system, knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and MySQL, knowledge of PHP and related web technologies, must be able to configure and maintain Linux services such as Apache, MySQL, PHP and compile PHP extensions, maintain existing PHP code as part of large projects, must be able to pro-actively problem solve, including investigating the issue, finding or designing solutions, and ensuring implementation resolves the issue or fulfils the need.
