The candidate must be highly motivated with a personal interest on cancer genomics. pag e 2 / 2 The candidate is expected to use state - of - the - art bioinformatics tools to assist in the analysis of genome - wide b - generation sequencing studies of the cancer transcriptome and epigenome in experimental and clinical samples. Candidate’s qualifications MSc/PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology or related discipline. Excellent knowledge of English, good interpersonal and communication skills are required. The ideal candidate must possess bioinformatic experience in: 1. Analysis of targeted resequencing, Whole Exon/Genome Sequencing and RNA - Seq experi ments. Knowledge of epigenomics data analysis is a plus (ATAC - seq, ChlP - seq), functional analysis, clinical response and survival data 2. Develop bioinformatics tools to compile and analyze “big data”, including longitudinal assessment of combined mutational profiles, gene expression and phosphoproteomics 3. Knowledge of basic machine learning for the integration of multi - omics data, assessment of validity and prediction accuracy of tools developed 4. Good knowledge of R and knowledge of programming/scripting langua ge (e.g., Perl, Ruby, Java, Python) 5. Problem - solving to overcome technical challenges (including basic bash operations) 6. Ability to deliver comprehensive and clear visualization of the data analysed 7. Familiarity with bioinformatic databases (e.g., NCBI, UCSC, EMBL) and software packages (e.g., BLAST, BLAT, Limma, IGV, GATK, and STAR) are strongly advisable.
