Duties: The postholder will become a member of the Teaching and Learning support team, and will contribute significantly to enhancing the student experience in the Department. They will undertake teaching duties within the Department at undergraduate and masters level, appropriate to the background and experience of the appointee. The appointee will teach physical chemistry across the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, delivering whole or parts of undergraduate modules, including laboratories, tutorials, workshops, and lectures. The appointee will also support the ongoing shift to a ‘blended-by-design’ delivery, and as such develop and support online delivery, e-learning and connected learning across the department
Requirements: The successful candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry or relevant related discipline and experience in teaching and delivering chemistry at undergraduate or postgraduate degree level. They will have experience in teaching in chemistry laboratory courses/practicals at undergraduate or postgraduate degree level, and comprehensive information and communication technologies skills. They will have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to staff and students in a teaching and learning context. Enthusiasm to acquire new work-related skills and a commitment to keeping skills and knowledge up to date is also an essential requirement
   
Text: Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Physical Chemistry, - Ref:1879382 Click here to go back to search results Apply Now UCL Department / Division Chemistry Location of position London Grade 7 Hours Full Time Salary (inclusive of London allowance) £40,928 - £44,388 per annum Duties and Responsibilities Applications are invited for the post of Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in the Department of Chemistry at University College London. We currently teach > 600 undergraduates registered in Chemistry as well as students who select Chemistry on the Natural Sciences programme and first year Chemistry for life scientists. We are anticipating a substantially larger intake of 1st year students in the coming year, which is in addition to the larger intake last year. The department also offers a number of Postgraduate Taught Masters courses with ~100 students per year. We are continuing to adapt our delivery across our programmes in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, including adopting a blended-by-design approach for the coming year.
