The successful candidate should demonstrate a breadth of knowledge and experience in various areas of Data Science, covering topics such as statistics, dynamical systems, complex systems, modelling, and data analysis. They should also demonstrate significant experience in successfully applying various tools to ‘real-world data’ as gathered, for instance, in the Life Sciences, Energy industry, or Climatology. The successful candidate will also be expected to teach a broad range of lectures, problem classes and tutorials, and undertake administrative duties as necessary. Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 8 salary scale (Senior Lecturer) (£53,348 - £60,022 per annum). The placement on the scale is negotiable according to qualifications and experience. Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references. This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK.
