Position: Research Associate/Senior Research Associate in Medical Statistics

Location: Bristol, United Kingdom
Duties: Under supervision of a senior statistician, the post-holder will help design statistical aspects of trials and contribute to grant applications. They will be involved in the conduct, analysis, and interpretation of statistical aspects of funded trials, and writing up results for publication. Support will be provided by senior statisticians, and post-holders encouraged to stay abreast of current statistical practice and attend appropriate training courses and conferences
Requirements: You have (or soon be graduating with) a Masters degree, or PhD (for appointment at senior research associate level), in medical statistics or closely related discipline and experience of working with substantial datasets; While experience of working on RCTs is not essential; you should have demonstrable interest in developing an academic career applying statistical methods to RCTs; You will need enthusiasm, excellent numeracy and writing skills and be keen to work within multi-disciplinary teams
