Together, we aim to undertake world-class, interdisciplinary social science research which is both academically renowned and policy-relevant. As our name suggests, our research revolves around the development and application of advanced quantitative methods to a wide-range of social science issues, with the aim of having real-world engagement and impact. We also aim to design and deliver world-class undergraduate and postgraduate education in all aspects of quantitative social science

Further information about QSS can be found here: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/ioe/departments-and-centres/centres/quantitative-social-science We are now seeking a Professor in any quantitative social science discipline to contribute to teaching and research. » Relevant fields include, but are not limited to: sociology, economics, psychology, social policy and political science. » Applicants with an interest in data science, in particular, in the application of machine learning or natural language processing techniques to social science or business problems, are especially welcome. You will enhance our interdisciplinary research portfolio, with a focus on the application of quantitative social science research methods to real world problems. In addition, you will be expected to seek research funding from a range of sources, and to be able to generate demonstrable impact and engagement in their work. You will also be expected to lead modules on our BSc Social Sciences with Data Science (SSDS) degree and to contribute to the life and functioning of the department more broadly.
