Duties: This post represents an exciting opportunity for a quantitative researcher from a relevant discipline (e.g. psychology, epidemiology) to examine the protective factors that might mitigate the emergence of mental health difficulties during adolescence. The project will use data from large existing longitudinal studies, primarily the Millennium Cohort Study to identify and examine the role of pertinent protective factors with input from young people in tandem with using data driven approaches. The successful appointee will conduct original research leading to publication. More generally, the appointee will be expected to develop an independent research career, and will be supported in doing so

The role is a full time position for 30 months in the first instance in the MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing at UCL.
