Position: Capital Modeling Risk Analyst

Duties: The role is for a Capital Modeling Risk Analyst I based in London. You will support the development, testing, and documentation of the business uses of AIG’s Internal Capital models and be involved in supporting the associated production processes. The role will provide exposure to the modelling and aggregation of Property Casualty Insurance. This is a Global role, supporting head office uses in NY and the various geographies around the globe in which AIG operates. Economic capital is of growing importance to AIG as it strengthens relationships with investors, regulators, and rating agencies. AIG uses its Internal Capital model as part of risk management, capital management, business strategy and pricing, and as a means of achieving an appropriate risk-adjusted return on its business activities
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science; Experience working in General Insurance is needed to perform this role; Experience with Igloo is preferred as it is the primary capital modelling platform used; Experience of using with programming languages, such as VBA, R or Python, and ability to learn new ones; Successful passing of one or more actuarial exams is preferred; Proven proficiency in mathematical and statistical methodologies; Experience with spreadsheets and databases
