Duties: We are now recruiting a highly ambitious and passionate Research Facilities Co-ordinator to join the project team in UCL Life and Medical Sciences, to support the development of the Science Technology Platforms and other shared research facilities, including sound business management plans, and cost recovery. The post holder will also support major research capital equipment grant applications from within UCL Life and Medical Sciences and will be managing the internal processes for the allocation of strategic capital funds. The post holder will be based in the LMS Research Co-ordination office, and will work closely with LMS Finance team, UCL Research Services, ISD and Faculty Leadership teams and others as required, to support the review of current operation models and development of new models where required
Requirements: This is an exciting opportunity to work with UCL Life and Medical Sciences, one of largest and most prestigious groupings of academics in biomedical, life and population health sciences, and play a leading role in shaping the delivery of our research platforms; The successful candidate will be scientifically literate ideally with demonstrable experience of working in a research laboratory environment. You must have excellent interpersonal skills including diplomacy, influencing and relationship building. Knowledge of resource management and operational and strategic planning ability would also be advantageous; Experience and knowledge of the major national and international funding agencies, their policies and processes, in areas relevant to biomedical research is desirable
