Duties: The Department of Anthropology has been extremely successful in securing European Research Council grants and currently holds seven. We are therefore looking for to appoint an experienced European Research Grants Officer to administer these complex, multi-site projects. The postholder will be responsible for the top-level management of the research projects with regards to all administrative, contractual and financial matters. They will provide a comprehensive and high-quality post- award management support service to the Principal Investigators and the European Commission, working closely with UCL’s European Research and Innovation Office and UK and overseas partners
Requirements: The post holder must have experience of post-award management of a portfolio of European Research Council research projects, and ability to administer these in accordance with the European Commissions terms and conditions, UCLs financial regulations, policies and procedures and financial budgets; They will need to be able to work with the European Research Management team to ensure all aspects of the project contractual documentation is correct and in place, and complete amendments to the Grant Agreements and other Agreements, as required; The ability to work collaboratively and proactively is essential as well as being able to build good working relationships with colleagues at UCL and partners and staff working overseas

We are therefore looking for to appoint an experienced European Research Grants Officer to administer these complex, multi-site projects. The postholder will be responsible for the top-level management of the research projects with regards to all administrative, contractual and financial matters. They will provide a comprehensive and high-quality post- award management support service to the Principal Investigators and the European Commission, working closely with UCLs European Research and Innovation Office and UK and overseas partners. The role project manages these research projects and will have oversight of many different project deadlines as well as working with partners overseas, often in non-European countries. It is vital that the postholder applies a detailed and expert knowledge and understanding of award policies, procedures and processes, and delivers a consistent and visible support service to the Principal Investigators, their staff and research partners. This is a grant-funded post and is currently funded till 31st Dec 2024 with the possibility of further funding.
