Position: Professor (W2) for Quantum Computing

Duties: The Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing is partner of the industry in the fields of computational science and optimization as well as for information extraction from large data sets. The institute models and optimizes industrial applications, develops software and services for product design, process development and manufacturing, and offers computations on high performance computers. The aims are to shorten development times, to reduce the cost of experiments and to optimize production processes. Applicants are expected to have demonstrated scientific excellence in the areas of algorithm design for quantum computing with applications
Requirements: Applicants are expected to have demonstrated scientific excellence in the areas of algorithm design for quantum computing with applications. The successful candidate represents the area in research and teaching at University of Bonn and, by way of joint appointment, is also active at the Fraunhofer Institute SCAI, where s/he should build up and lead a new research group
