Text: Tenure-track assistant professor in Tissue Assembly, Physiology, and Engineering The Biozentrum of the University of Basel in Switzerland invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Tissue Assembly, Physiology, and Engineering. This position will be supported by the Biozentrum ( https://www.biozentrum.unibas.ch/ ) and the National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) "AntiResist: New Approaches to Combat Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria" (2020-2032; https://nccr-antiresist.ch/ ). The Biozentrum is one of the leading Life Sciences Institutes in the world. It investigates how molecules and cells create life, spanning the scale from atom to organism. The NCCR "AntiResist" , whose home institution is the University of Basel, is a Swiss-wide interdisciplinary center for infection biology and antibiotic research. We seek an imaginative and creative early career scientist who will bring his/her expertise in tissue assembly, physiology, and engineering to important problems in biology and medicine. Your position The new professor will complement and enhance the research portfolio of the Biozentrum and the NCCR "AntiResist", as well as the broader Basel Life Sciences Community, and will contribute to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. The NCCR "AntiResist" comprises a network of academic institutions and collaborating companies in Basel, Zurich and Lausanne consisting of 29 research groups spanning five major disciplines: clinical medicine, engineering, biology, chemistry, and computational biology.
