Position: Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Applied Health Research

Duties: ▪ Developing and delivering the portfolio of Academy short courses (including online versions), including the development of the online version of ‘Economic Evaluation’ course; ▪ Adapting materials for inclusion as modules for MSc courses across the Institute; ▪ Supporting the ARC North Thames PhD programme; ▪ Assisting with development and delivery of Academy evidence implementation activities; ▪ Contribute to developing an evaluation framework to assess the impact of ARC training for capacity and capability building
Requirements: The Associate Lecturer will hold or will soon be awarded a PhD in a discipline relevant to applied health research, or equivalent relevant experience. Experience of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching and other forms of public presentation of applied health research is essential. It would be advantageous for the post-holder to have a quantitative or mixed-methods background, and experience of online teaching

The Teaching Fellow will be responsible for developing the research capacity building activities of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) North Thames Academy, based in the Department of Applied Health Research within UCL Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care (www.ucl.ac.uk/iehc). The role is available full time until 31 December 2023, in the first instance.
