Position: PhD student position in bioinformatics

Duties: The project is part of the newly established collaborative research center (CRC) 1454 “Metaflammation and Cellular Programming” and revolves around the impact of lifestyle and environmental influences on the human immune system, which the successful applicant will address computationally using single-cell omics data improving/developing computational approaches using state-of-the-art tools and IT infrastructure
Requirements: Master or equivalent in bioinformatics, computer science or a related field; Strong background in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics; Experience in the analysis of Next-Generation Sequencing transcriptome data, e.g. single-cell RNA-seq and bulk RNA-seq; Strong background in biology, preferably immunology is of advantage
